If you are checking this diary and looking for some profound discussion I'll have to disappoint you.
Since it is Victory Day and I didn't see a diary about it I decided to pay tribute and post a photo diary featuring some of the WW2 veterans that took part in the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of the Allied victory over Nazi Germany.
To all of them that are still alive, to those who passed away and to the tens of millions that died during the WW2 I want to say 'Thank you for your sacrifice'.
